Denver Derby Party
In late 2023, The Pinecone Project was approached and selected to produce the Denver Derby Party for the Sean Ranch Lough Foundation, an annual event celebrating the Kentucky Derby while raising awareness and funds for the foundation’s charitable mission. This high-profile event required a sophisticated blend of production expertise, creative design, and logistical precision to deliver an elevated experience aligned with the foundation’s goals, values, and traditions over the past 20 years. Our comprehensive involvement in executive production, creative design, and seamless event coordination ensured attendees enjoyed an immersive, memorable experience. Guests celebrated the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby with a live stream, live music, delicious food, a (faux) horse painting, and spirits galore—making this event one to remember.
The Denver Derby Party achieved outstanding results, engaging new and old attendees while amplifying the foundation’s message through a seamless event experience. One of our goals was to attract a new demographic of ticket purchasers. We saw high attendee engagement via social media metrics, and the smooth event flow was achieved through flawless execution and comprehensive event design from our creative director, which maintained the Derby’s charm while enhancing the foundation’s brand visibility. From logistics and creative decor to a dynamic main stage and a cohesive event footprint, every element was seamlessly coordinated to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests and stakeholders alike.
